We came back from our Honeymoon late Sunday night. We were exhausted from THE BEST WEDDING EVER and an equally AMAZING VACATION!
On Monday I cleaned, cleaned, cleaned. My absence was very much felt by the toilet, tub & floors. And ceiling fans and fridge and stove... And this house was a nasty mess after Joel lived like a bachelor for a month. He thought he did good because all the dishes and clothes were clean. Bless MY HUSBAND'S heart. And then when Joel got home from work, because going out and doing stuff has quite grown on us, we went to see Paranormal Activity. Don't believe the hype.
On Tuesday I woke up to news that my dad was coming with a van full of people. People from Guatemala, who are very particular about cleaning. I spent the morning cleaning even more. Then we went grocery shopping.
Have you ever been grocery shopping after a month away from home? After YOUR HUSBAND (!) ate every single last edible thing in the pantry to avoid Publix. After all your drawer vegetables have rotted and are starting to grow things. Yeah, that was a hefty bill. I'm pretty sure it was more than the move in grocery shop. And we still forgot sugar. And aluminum foil. This is even with a grocery list.
Company was wonderful. And they didn't even mind the pile of boxes in the corner from our wedding gifts, that we hastily unwrapped the second we were home. They didn't even mind that I forgot to buy any kind of soda. And I couldn't make lemonade, because NO SUGAR! But yes we did have a case of beer in the fridge. This the company definitely didn't mind.
I am now in the process of trying to get together this Chicago trip. Tickets are SO cheap to Chicago right now. I really hope J Love can confirm his time off, so I can buy these tickets soon. Also working on getting stuff together to start school in January. Handling the transfer of funds & insurance & names that comes with I DO's.... Ahhhhhh the life of a wife!
My blog name no longer applies.
